One of the ultimate souvenirs of our hometown of Fairfax–our own money! These $3 coins were minted to help support our local business community and were only accepted in stores within our Town–not valid for commerce elsewhere. The project ran from 2012-2016 and is over now, but we have a limited supply of the coins and they make a great, inexpensive gift. For sale at a discount to the original face value, and we have a nice gift set available printed on 8.5×11 parchment paper suitable for framing.
Magnificent 5-point buck on the front, vintage Monark mountain bike chainring on the back. They have a gold colored finish, but are not real gold.

I have a 2011 Fairbuck $3 coin that has a snail in a shell on the back; so they must have started earlier than 2012.
