Honoring Charlie Cunningham

RSVP by August 2nd

Charlie Cunningham

Charlie Cunningham, renowned framebuilder and inventor, died on June 2nd, 2026. Charlie was one of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame’s charter inductees, inducted in 1988.

On the evening of Saturday, August 8, we will gather at the Hall of Fame to honor his life and works.

It’s hard to catalog all of the cool ideas Charlie had worked out and created years before they became state of the art. A lot of them, including his CCProto bike, are displayed at the Hall of Fame.

Charlie saw the future, and helped create the present reality. His work is embedded in the history of the sport. The bicycles that he made will be cherished by their owners, and will represent his soul to generations not yet born. His passion will be celebrated for as long as people ride bikes.

Please be aware that space for this memorial event is limited, so pre-registration is required. Click the button below to register.
