Lake Placid, NY — The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame (MBHOF) is proud to announce its 2026 Inductee Class.
This year’s ceremony will be held in conjunction with the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series season finale at The Golden Arrows, a new annual awards event taking place on October 4, 2026, at the Lake Placid Olympic Center. This gala will celebrate the individuals who have fundamentally shaped the sport of mountain biking through innovation, competition, and industry leadership.
The 2026 class represents a diverse group of visionaries whose contributions span decades of mountain biking history.
Max Commencal
A visionary figure whose influence on the mountain bike world spans over four decades. As the founder of two legendary brands—Sunn Bicycles and Commencal Bicycles—he has been a driving force behind the professionalization of downhill racing, the evolution of bike geometry, and the support of some of the sport’s greatest athletes.
Stan Day
A transformative force in the cycling industry and co-founder of SRAM. His leadership guided the company in developing components that redefined performance and reliability, such as the groundbreaking Grip Shift, the 1x drivetrain, and AXS wireless technology, directly impacting how riders experience trails around the globe.
Tracy Moseley
A legendary multi-discipline athlete who has set the standard for female competition in mountain biking. With a storied career spanning Downhill and Enduro, she has made an impact beyond her numerous victories, serving as a trailblazer and inspiration for generations of women in the sport.
Greg Minnaar
A titan of Downhill racing whose career is defined by longevity, technical mastery, and an unmatched competitive spirit. His dominance on the international circuit has cemented his status as one of the greatest mountain bike racers of all time.
“The 2026 Inductee Class highlights the immense breadth of our sport, from the engineers designing our equipment to the athletes pushing the limits on the world stage,” said the MBHOF Nomination and Selection Committee and Executive Director Otis Guy. “Holding this ceremony as part of The Golden Arrows at the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series final stop in Lake Placid provides the perfect backdrop to honor these individuals, who have truly built the mountain biking community we know today”.
The induction ceremony will take place during The Golden Arrows event, where members of the press and the wider mountain biking community are invited to join us in celebrating these legends.
