Address: 1966 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Fairfax, CA 94930 - The Museum is open 11am - 5pm, Thursday through Sunday.

Vintage MTB-Cruiser Ride

This is not limited to mountain bikes and cruisers so please feel free to bring out any vintage bike you’d like to show. This is an ultra-casual, slow, fun ride. The route will be a slow roll from the Museum through Ross, San Anselmo on bike routes and paths, circling back to Fairfax with an option to ride up into the fire roads for those of us on dirt-capable bikes.

PLEASE RSVP HERE!

What is it?

A fun and casual ride on vintage mountain bikes and cruisers

Where is it?

Start at the Museum!
We’ll ride through Fairfax, San Anselmo, and if you like, up into the fire
roads……casually and conversationally.

When is it?

Sunday, June 15th at 9 AM!

Why do I want to do it?

  • Because you love supporting the Marin Museum of Bicycling!
  • Because you love vintage bikes!
  • To meet fellow collectors and aficionados!
  • It’s the day after the Museum’s 10th anniversary bike swap!

What if I don’t have a vintage mountain bike?

Come to the swap on Saturday and buy one!

The route will be roughly 15 miles, with an option to hit dirt. There will be stopping… a lot.
This is conversational and we are not in a hurry. We’ll be looking at your awesome bikes
and taking photos!

  1. I’m a 73 year old who is a bit rusty bicycling, but this might incentivise me. I am riding a late 80’s – early ’90’s mass produced TIG welded Fisher Montare of which only the frame is original, and it has been modified with street tires and distance gearing. I might just show up or ride or not depending on the grades involved and opportunities to exit. The more I know, the better I can gear up because dialing it in depends on age.
